It was an absolute privilege to spend “An Evening With Sir David Attenborough”, in the IMAX Cinema at The Science Museum in London last night. After a mad dash into London after work, Sue and I found ourselves at the venue, just in time to join the queue going in. Just over an hour to get to London from home, then 42 minutes to do the last mile to reach the tube station! Phew!
Organised by the Society of Biology, it was an enthralling evening, listening to Sir David taking and reminiscing with Alice Roberts, with a couple of clips of Sir David in action and questions from the audience.
It was a real pleasure to listen to one of our national treasures, who is so enthusiastic about the natural world, who inspired and encouraged me, and many, many others, over many years of his fantastic wildlife documentary career to take note of the world around them.
Truly a great man of our time.
